Nightmares are Not Always Dreams
An Anthro (furry) story was always intended to be a stand alone horror story even though it was eventually folded into In The Time of Oharu (because no one would publish it, it made them feel ‘Squicky.’) It is a story set in the 1930's in China, an English reporter stumbles over something so horrible that even though he is dying he decided to commit the rest of his life to exposing this age old horror. While doing so he encounters an American student, herself caught up in this bloody trap though she doesn’t know it.

Falling in love, critically ill and having crippling attacks of pain from his tumor as it slowly eats his brain he decides to rescue her even though surrounded by nothing but enemies. Is he successful? Does Killian Whitehall successfully escape China and her ages old horror with young Helen Sneed or do both end up on the dinner table?
