Chapter Twenty-Six

“What do you mean she denuded you” Professor Q asked. He was in his private office, the one place he was certain was bugged by no one. Night was sitting across from him, her embarrassment obvious. In answer she stood, dropping her pants, it was nothing that Professor Q hadn’t seen often after all, except this time it was bare.

“From the nose down” Night explained while she pulled her paints back up. “Not one hair, she used an ultraviolet laser so healing won’t bring it back, I’m a baby again dammit.” She sat again, crossing her legs while a deep blush came to her face.

“Its kinda sexy” Q admitted. “So this like she has?”

“She had me a week, use your imagination” the mind twisting woman growled.

“I see, she came to my house last night” he explained, opening a drawer to remove the book. Tossing it to Night he indicated that she read it. “She knows about us, she knows who I am and where I live. SHE CAME TO MY HOUSE” he yelled.

Wincing at the scream Night opened the book, flipping though each page. When she came to the note Night carefully closed the book, tossing it back. “Play nice or she starts taking trophies” the woman whispered, “Now that is warning not to be ignored.”

“I know, she doesn’t seem to know that you and I are through tho, I still love you Night but we both know it can’t work. Still her taking you for God knows what isn’t worth the chance so we pull back.”

“She wants me as a pet” Night explained. “She proved to me that she can turn my powers on and off at will, she told me that if she took me as a pet my powers would be gone forever. Q she’s too dangerous to let live.”

“Agreed, I authorize you and only you gloves off from now on. If you catch her, burn the bitches brain to powder.”

“And if she wins you never heard of me” Night finished.

“No, I’ll do my damnedest to get you back, powers or not. I wasn’t kidding Night, I do still love you.”

“Bitch isn’t it?” the woman asked. “I don’t hate you either, well at least I’ll make a pretty upstairs maid right?”

“I’ve never touched Tanya” Q warned.

“She want’s you too, you can see it in her eyes love. Tell you what, Fluffball burns my brain you use me as a sex toy and marry Tanya. She obviously could have killed the fluff but didn’t. I don’t think she wants to hurt any normals.”

“If you lose Night I’ll hire you but I won’t use you. You deserve better than that now I need to talk to Detector. He needs to check those sensors out and he needs to know why.”

“Yes my imperious leader” Night agreed. “Your slightest wish is my command.” She stood, heading for the door where she stopped and looked back. “At one time that was the truth, I wish we could have that time back.”
